Our Funded Programs
Scholarship Fund
Each year, high school counselors in Sonoma County receive scholarship applications for graduating seniors as part of our funded program. We are proud to offer scholarships for Latino students to improve their educational attainment. The Scholarship Fund is made possible by the generosity of individuals and institutions who share our commitment to providing opportunities for these students.
The scholarship committee carefully reviews each application, assigning grades based on the eligibility criteria. Following this, the board of directors approves the list of applicants who will receive a grant for the upcoming academic year.
Sports Fund
Over the years Latinos Unidos has offered financial assistance to athletic individuals and groups who lack the necessary resources to cover costs such as insurance, uniforms, and membership dues. If you or your group require assistance, please send a written request to Latinos Unidos del Condado de Sonoma at P.O. Box 5410, Santa Rosa, CA 95403. We will do our best to assist you in your athletic endeavors.
Funeral Fund
We recognize that the loss of a loved one can place significant financial strain on families within our Latino community. To ease this burden during such challenging times, we offer to cover the costs of funerals for families in need.
The funding for this compassionate initiative comes solely from the annual membership dues of our dedicated members. However, we also graciously accept donations from individuals and organizations who are committed to supporting our community in moments of crisis. By uniting our efforts, we can extend a supportive hand to those grappling with financial difficulties following the loss of a family member.
